Big Bang
Just got done watching the Big Bang Theory and Sheldon stated that Ubuntu was his favorite Linux Based Operating System , I could not agree more. I have personally tried many "flavors" of the Linux OS - including Slackware, Red Hat, Mandrake - Mandriva, Pioneer, Lycoris, Lindows, Linspire, Freespire, Suse - OpenSuse, Fedora, Dragon, and more. These are just a partial list of versions that I actually installed on a pc - not to mention the countless Live CD's that I have also tried/experimented with. The simple fact is that Ubuntu out performs all of them. Everything just works. I turn on my pc and first of all it boots lightning fast - I have not actually timed it but I would guess it only takes about 1 minute from the time I hit the power button - until I am clicking Firefox to get online. No waiting for virus and spyware protections to load - or other start-up items - no waiting for my pc to update while my internet and performance grind to a halt. I simply turn it on and I am ready to use the pc - and it works. I can get on and do what I need to do.
Free Music
I see in the news today speculation of the popular Limewire file sharing client possibly going out of business even though they are one of the strongest in their field. However, much of the activity through the Limewire clients are from people illegally sharing copyrighted material. I would like to take this time to remind people that there is a totally safe and legal place to listen and download free music. I personally use this service for some of my personal music releases. Starting Fresh
Since my web host was attacked by virus issues it was either spend hours and hours attempting to find and destroy all threats - or simply shut down the host. Since no files were critical and most the result of a hobby, I chose to delete and be done with it. I also had 2 Blogs that I would casually write on. Now I have found a new webhost and am now in the process of creating brand new sites that will actually look better than my previous sites. In addition to these new websites, I've decided to cease inputting information in my previous blogs, instead shifting all of my blogging powers into Eventually Everything. Along with all of these changes I've developed a podcast as well. http://mikecosma.podomatic.com/
